Norton Rose Fulbright adds a corporate and M&A partner in Melbourne

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright announced today that James Crowe has joined the national corporate and M&A team, bringing strong links to clients in the technology, telecommunications, infrastructure and agribusiness sectors.
 
A leading M&A lawyer, Mr Crowe is the former head of Herbert Smith Freehills’ corporate team in Melbourne, where he managed the accounts of several major clients, including Telstra, Murray Goulburn and Asciano.
 
Mr Crowe has deep technology sector expertise and has acted for global and domestic technology companies, venture capital funds and founders. During the last year he has been working with leading startups, business figures and the Victorian Government to support the Australian start-up ecosystem. In addition to his legal qualifications, Mr Crowe holds a degree in computer science, majoring in artificial intelligence.
 
Mr Crowe’s award-winning work in legal innovation has received global recognition, including by Harvard University, the US Association of Corporate Counsel and the Financial Times. He is passionate about co-developing innovative solutions with clients and making legal expertise available in an efficient technology-enabled manner.

Mr Crowe’s appointment is the latest example of the firm’s continued investment in its corporate and M&A capability. In August it announced that Paul Lingard and Miriam D’Souza will be joining as partners in the corporate and M&A team in Perth to advise the energy, resources and infrastructure industries.
