Norton Rose Fulbright grows projects and construction partnership in Perth

Australia Press release March 2023

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright announced today that Ben Bradstreet has joined as partner in the projects and construction team in Australia.

Ben is an experienced energy and infrastructure lawyer. He acts on complex projects and transactions for owners, investors, lenders and governments across Australia, Asia, the Middle East and the United States. He advises clients on project ownership structures, debt funding requirements, commercial and legal risk allocations in various markets, procurement and project delivery models.

Ben’s practice centres on the oil and gas, petrochemicals, power and utilities industries as well as related infrastructure and commodities. He has a focus on helping clients move into new sectors, geographies and business models and make the most of emerging energy technologies and opportunities arising in the energy transition.

Ben joins Norton Rose Fulbright from King & Wood Mallesons in Australia, and before that, spent almost a decade at UK and US-based international firms in London, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. His appointment coincides with the return last month in Melbourne of former senior partner Grant Ahearn as a senior consultant in the projects and construction team.

Norton Rose Fulbright chief executive partner in Australia Alison Deitz commented:

“We are delighted to welcome Ben to the partnership, who is keenly focused on the global energy transition as a trusted advisor to energy companies and others active in the broader energy and infrastructure industries. Ben’s years of international experience will provide a boost to our national projects and construction team and bolster our service offering from Perth, adding to the momentum we are building in the WA market.”

Ben Bradstreet commented:

“I’m excited to join Norton Rose Fulbright in Perth at a time of unprecedented opportunity across the energy and infrastructure sectors. Our global energy system is transforming and I’m privileged to work with clients that get behind trailblazing projects and the technologies that will bring together climate security and energy security. I look forward to collaborating with my national and international colleagues and using the diversity of our experience to support our clients in every way we can.”
