Biography
Darcy Hellen-Ford is a paralegal in our Commonwealth Australian Government team, based in Canberra.
He is in the process of completing a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics at the Australian National University. Darcy has previously worked in a number of other practice groups in the firm under the National Clerkship Program in Sydney including real estate and corporate M&A. Prior to joining the firm, he worked in a number of projects in a leading Australian financial institution, including covenants quality assurance, risk refresh, and financial carding.
Darcy provides assistance to a team of senior lawyers in offering legal advice to government departments on complex civil and commercial issues. He brings with him the ability to assist lawyers to provide sound and commercially relevant advice to clients.

- Assisted in the preparation of a scheme booklet and structure plan to shareholders for a takeover plan.
- Assisted drafting and editing the annual internal mergers and acquisitions takeover data sheet for >$50 million deals.
- Drafted letter of advice to local council on the legislation and rules regarding verge gardens.
- Attended contract of sale negotiations with clients.
- Reviewing case law and legal commentary, conducting ASIC and PEXA searches, assisting with due diligence reports, and updating client bundles and legal precedents.
- Conducting legal research on a variety of complex legal issues.
- Drafting advice and legal documents in respect to various corporate and contractual matters including in respect to government infrastructure projects.
