Sasha is a Lawyer in our Commonwealth Australian Government team, based in Canberra.

After completing the Juris Doctor at the University of Melbourne in 2021, Sasha joined Norton Rose Fulbright in 2022 as a Graduate. She has since completed 6-month rotations in our Projects & Construction, Consumer Markets and Banking & Finance teams in Melbourne.

Sasha has a wealth of experience in contract preparation, consumer law and syndicated financing arrangements, and has acted for private contractors, domestic banks, private lenders and franchisors in various industries including the finance and food and beverage spaces. Sasha brings this experience to Norton Rose Fulbright's government practice.

Banking and finance

  • Drafting syndicated and bilateral facility agreements, deeds of variation, minutes of meeting, verification certificates, mortgages and general security deeds for both lenders and borrowers.
  • Conducting reviews of trust deeds and company constitutions.
  • Working with cross-jurisdictional practices in Singapore, Malaysia, the Cayman Islands, Hong Kong and Canada and across practice areas including real estate, mergers and acquisitions, pro bono and consumer markets.

Consumer markets

  • Drafting suites of franchising documentation with respect to the grant, renewal, transfer and surrender of franchised businesses across Australia.
  • Drafting new franchise agreements and disclosure documentation for domestic clients and foreign clients entering into the Australian market.
  • Conducting contractual reviews with respect to unfair contract terms legislation and assessing compliance with the franchise register.
  • Advising on Australian Consumer Law issues including rights of repair, refund and return with a specific focus on the automotive industry.
