Biography

Jess Cheng is a litigation and dispute resolution lawyer in Sydney.  Jess has a particular focus in historical abuse, personal injury and intentional tort claims.  Jess has acted for various government agencies, New South Wales Police Force, schools, insurers, private organisations and religious bodies.  She received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Sydney. 

Prior to moving to Australia, Jess had worked in Hong Kong where the majority of her experience was in the investment funds and regulatory compliance areas.  Jess has also had commercial litigation experience and was involved in a number of high-profile litigation where proceedings were commenced in the United States against international investment banks for trading misconduct, corruption and bribery acts. 

Jess is trilingual speaker, fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.  She also holds a Master of Arts in Language and Law (Distinction) from the City University of Hong Kong.
