Biography

Stacey Murphy leads Norton Rose Fulbright's Healthcare practice in the US and is Partner-in-Charge of the global law firm's St. Louis office. She practices exclusively in the health care area and represents academic medical centers, medical schools, hospitals, multi-specialty and single specialty physician groups and other health care entities. 

Stacey's experience includes mergers and acquisitions, affiliations and other complex contractual arrangements among health care providers.  She has represented both hospitals and medical schools in structuring academic affiliations and related arrangements, including arrangements between hospitals and faculty practice plans for clinical, coverage and medico-administrative services. Stacey has also assisted academic medical centers in structuring affiliations with community hospitals and other community providers. 

Stacey has also worked with hospitals and physician group clients to structure management services agreements, professional services agreements, telemedicine arrangements, accountable care organizations and clinically integrated networks as well as clinical service line joint ventures, including ambulatory surgery centers, urgent care centers and cardiac catheterization laboratories.

In addition to her transactional experience, Stacey regularly advises clients on corporate governance issues, regulatory issues, including federal anti-kickback statute and Stark law compliance, Medicare billing, reimbursement and related regulations, tax-exempt issues, compliance issues, licensure, accreditation and other state and federal regulatory matters.
