Morubel Holding B.V. on the divestment of Morubel N.V.

May 2015

Client: Morubel Holding B.V.

We advised Morubel Holding B.V. on the divestment of Morubel N.V. in a controlled auction. Morubel N.V. has been sold to Dutch private equity fund Bencis Capital.

Morubel N.V. used to form part of the Heiploeg group, the largest shrimp producer in Europe and previously owned by Dutch private equity Fund Gilde Buy-Out Fund, before Gilde Buy-Out was bought out by the banks in the context of a restructuring. Heiploeg has subsequently gone bankrupt and the assets have been sold to Parleviet, save for Morubel N.V. which has been carved-out of that transaction.
