Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised BBGI SICAV S.A. (BBGI) on their acquisition of equity interests in three public-private partnership projects in the Netherlands. BBGI is a UK-listed infrastructure investment company.
The three Dutch PPP projects are the A1/A6 motorway widening, the N18 road expansion between Varsseveld and Enschede, and the Gemeente Westland Civic Centre. BBGI acquired the Dutch PPPs through a partnership with VolkerWessels. VolkerWessels sold a minority interest in a holding company Participatiemaatschappij VolkerInfra PPP, which owns the Dutch developer’s interests in the assets.
Saskia Blokland, commented:
“We are delighted to have advised BBGI on this significant acquisition that we were able to close in a short timeframe.”
The Norton Rose Fulbright team in Amsterdam was led by Saskia Blokland, with assistance from partners Daphne Broerse and Wouter Hertzberger. Further assistance was provided by of counsel Joris Ravelli, senior associates Ania Gorna and Annemarie Ver Loren van Themaat - Creutzberg, and associates Jasper Geerdes and Charlie van der Star.
