New California employment laws

What do employers need to know?

Event Details

United States | February 26, 2019

California has long been known for its progressive employment laws that provide employees with more protection than laws anywhere else in the United States. As of January 1, 2019, California has enacted several new laws impacting employer operations. These include new #metoo laws, leave laws, corporate board representation requirements, wage and hour additions, break time changes, and more.

Please join our employment lawyers as they provide a current update on California's new employment laws and how these laws will impact employers. Employers without California operations may also wish to consider these legal requirements, as California courts have held that even non-California employers can be subject to California employment laws if any of their employees spend as little as a day a year working in California.
