The State Bar of Texas has honored Norton Rose Fulbright partner and US Chair of the People First Committee Katherine Tapley (San Antonio) with the Weatherbie Workhorse Award. This prestigious award is only given to one Texas real estate lawyer annually.
Since 2002, the Weatherbie Workhorse Award has recognized lawyers who are long-term diligent supporters of real estate continuing legal education (CLE), contributing through speaking engagements, publications, volunteer efforts and more.
Katherine recently completed a term on the Council of the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law section of the Texas State Bar and is actively involved with the Real Estate Forms Committee and multiple CLE planning committees. Her practice focuses on all aspects of complex commercial real estate transactions, with a specific emphasis on the financing and development of multi-family projects, healthcare facilities, entertainment venues and other commercial real estate across multiple jurisdictions. Katherine, a fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, is a frequent author and speaker on matters affecting commercial real estate.
Katherine was presented with the award at the State Bar of Texas’s Advanced Real Estate CLE on July 10.
