Global Recognition September 16, 2016

Norton Rose Fulbright took home four awards at International Tax Review's Americas Tax Awards 2016, which "celebrate the most innovative tax and transfer pricing advice of 2015/2016 and the in-house teams, firms and individuals that were part of it."

The firm was named Houston/Dallas Tax Firm of the Year and Venezuela TP Firm of the Year while US Head of Tax Robert Phillpott was named the first Americas Tax Practice Leader of the Year. The firm also won Americas Financial Services tax deal of the year for our work on the sale of Simmons & Company International to Piper Jaffray. Winners were selected based on research from a variety of sources, including firm submissions and feedback from both private practice lawyers and in-house tax executives.

"These awards are a recognition of the team's increasingly international approach to advising clients on cross-border tax matters, working with our 150 tax lawyers worldwide," said Phillpott.

Norton Rose Fulbright was shortlisted in several other categories, including North America Tax Firm of the Year; North America Tax Litigation and Disputes Firm of the Year; Americas Tax Firm of the Year; Latin America Tax Firm of the Year; Venezuela Tax Firm of the Year; New York Tax Firm of the Year; and Americas FS Tax Deal of the Year – Simmons & Co.
