Ayşe Yüksel Mahfoud recognized as a Thought Leader with 2023 Women, Influence and Power in Law Award

Global Head of Corporate, M&A and Securities Ayşe Yüksel Mahfoud (New York and Istanbul) has been honored with a 2023 Women, Influence and Power in Law (WIPL) Award in the category of Thought Leadership.

Corporate Counsel announced the awards this week, honoring general counsel, in-house leaders and law firm partners. The honorees include women who are business strategists, problem solvers, successful lawyers, and most importantly, those who have demonstrated a commitment to advancing the empowerment of women in law.

Yüksel Mahfoud, who is a member of the firm's Global Executive Committee, has extensive experience in a range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, privatizations, joint ventures, strategic alliances, capital markets and SPAC transactions. She also leads the firm's pro bono efforts for the World Bank, which includes reports on family law, labor law and laws on violence against women in various jurisdictions.

This year, Yüksel Mahfoud was integral in a groundbreaking firm initiative—the first-ever Global M&A Trends and Risks Report which provides clients with a global outlook of the current M&A landscape through a comparative regional and sectoral lens.

The winners will be recognized at an awards dinner in October as part of the Women, Influence and Power in Law Conference in New Orleans. Corporate Counsel, an industry news website that covers developments of interest to in-house attorneys, will also feature profiles of the honorees in October.
