Los Angeles County Bar Association appoints Norton Rose Fulbright’s Jeff Margulies as President

Jeff Margulies, Partner-in-Charge of Norton Rose Fulbright’s Los Angeles office, has been elected President of the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA), effective July 1. Jeff will serve in this position through June 30, 2026.

During his presidency, Jeff will prioritize growing the membership by emphasizing the benefits of joining the LACBA to the new generation of lawyers. He also intends to upgrade the association’s lawyer referral service to better facilitate access to justice. Additionally, he will launch a program for voluntary mediators in eviction cases to help prevent homelessness. He plans to maintain collaborations with bar associations across the country to bolster support for courts and the legal profession.

Jeff has been actively involved in LACBA leadership for more than 15 years. He has been a member of the Environmental Law Section since 2006 and a member of the Board of Trustees since 2019. He was elected as an officer and member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees in 2022, serving as Senior Vice President and Treasurer and chairing the Finance Committee. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the LACBA Counsel for Justice, the charitable arm of LACBA. Most recently, he served as President-Elect and Treasurer since July 1, 2024.

In his litigation practice, Jeff defends companies in consumer class action litigation matters relating to false advertising, product compliance and privacy issues. His regulatory practice involves a variety of state, federal and international environmental, product safety, chemical management and related regulatory issues, advertising and labelling requirements, as well as consumer privacy, and encompasses compliance, enforcement and litigation.
