Norton Rose Fulbright partner Mark Greenfield receives Lee McFarland Award from California Independent Petroleum Association

Norton Rose Fulbright’s Los Angeles Head of Corporate, M&A and Securities Mark Greenfield has been honored with the 2024 Lee McFarland Award from the California Independent Petroleum Association (CIPA).

The award recognizes Mark’s contributions to the viability of California’s independent crude oil and natural gas producing industry. Established in honor of early CIPA president and founder of McFarland Energy, Lee McFarland, this recognition is bestowed annually to an associate member of CIPA, excluding producers.

Mark has served on the CIPA Board of Directors since 2021 and is Chair of the Legal Committee. Mark was honored at CIPA’s 2024 Annual Meeting, which Norton Rose Fulbright sponsored at a Three Star level.

Mark focuses his practice on corporate transactions and corporate advice and counselling. He has extensive experience with mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, representing private equity and venture capital sponsors, family offices, corporate entities and sell-side entrepreneurs. He also regularly represents clients in debt and equity capital raises, private and public, issuers, underwriters, placement agents and financial institutions. Mark represents clients in a broad range of industries including energy (oil and gas upstream and midstream, as well as alternative), health care, pharmaceutical, medical devices, financial services, media and entertainment, technology, life sciences, manufacturing, gaming, real estate and hospitality.

CIPA is a non-profit, non-partisan trade association representing approximately 300 independent crude oil and natural gas producers, royalty owners and service and supply companies operating in California.
