National Board of Trial Advocacy recognizes Dallas litigator

United States Press release - People July 27, 2022

Norton Rose Fulbright litigation partner Brett Govett (Dallas) has been board certified in civil trial law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA).

Board certifications are the highest, most stringent and most reliable honor a lawyer can achieve, designed to improve the quality of trial advocacy and aid the public in their selection of experienced legal representation. Govett joins a select group of American lawyers, approximately three percent, who have demonstrated competence in their specialty area and earned board certification.

Govett was certified after completing a rigorous screening process which included demonstration of substantial trial experience, submission of judicial and peer references, attendance of continuing legal education courses, submission of legal writing documents, proof of good standing and passing of an examination.

Govett has broad litigation experience and has tried commercial, intellectual property and tort cases. For more than 20 years, he has been board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Civil Trial Law and registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Govett is a member of several invitation only trial lawyer organizations and for years has been listed in Best Lawyers, Chambers, IAM and Super Lawyers.
