At the Texas Health Law Conference on Oct. 8, Austin partner Yvonne Puig received the 2018 Distinguished Service Award. This recognition was given to Puig by the Health Law Council of the State Bar of Texas, which hosted the conference in Austin as well as the dinner in her honor.

Norton Rose Fulbright’s US Life Sciences and Healthcare Chief Integration Partner after previously serving as US Head of Life Sciences and Healthcare, Puig is the first female to receive this award. Colleagues Jerry Bell and Daphne Calderon spoke in tribute to Puig’s extraordinary contributions to the practice of health law at the dinner.

Daryl Lansdale, Norton Rose Fulbright’s US Managing Partner, said:

“Norton Rose Fulbright has a longstanding reputation in the life sciences and healthcare sector, and we appreciate the State Bar of Texas recognizing Yvonne as a leader in this field.”

The Distinguished Service Award is presented biannually to a Texas health lawyer who has encouraged the practice of health law, mentored lawyers new to the practice of health law, fostered health law through participation in professional organizations or provided service to the Section or the community in matters related to health law.
