United States Press release - People September 25, 2019

Jane Snoddy Smith (Austin) gained invaluable management skills needed to succeed as our global co-head of real estate while serving as president of a non-profit organization devoted to promoting women in commercial real estate.

As president of Commercial Real Estate Women Network (CREW) in 2009, Smith told a CREW Network podcast that she learned executive-level skills.

"Being able to work with a board, managing a budget, speaking in public and asking  for things, you learned all of that in CREW," Smith said on the podcast. "I learned to ask and I learned to say I would like to do this. The management skills that I learned through my CREW (service let me practice skills that were beneficial to my practice and our firm."

CREW Network brings together women in commercial real estate to learn cutting edge industry information, network and assist each other professionally.

The CREW Network Convention and Marketplace will be held in Orlando, Fla., September 25 –27, when more than 1,200 commercial real estate leaders are expected to learn from industry leaders such as Nathalie Palladicheff, President of Ivanhoe Cambridge, to discuss current economic and business treads, to network for referrals for future deals as well as hone leadership skills.

We are CREW's technology underwriter and premier lead sponsor and we will have representatives from Canada and the US attending.
