Biography
A trilingual and bicultural lawyer, George partners with clients to help them find the right solutions to grow or expand their core business or affiliated concepts. He prides himself in being an accessible business partner to clients.
George has experience representing clients in mergers and acquisitions, restructuring transactions, governance, and general corporate and securities compliance matters. In addition, George has advised private equity firms in structuring, negotiating and managing investments in companies across a broad range of industries. George maintains a flexible approach to negotiations with a focus on efficiency and practicality.
He also works on general commercial transactions, such as the negotiation of joint ventures and partnerships, entity structuring and formation matters involved in the startup process. A frequent contributor to the startup community in Dallas, George is proud to represent closely held and emerging companies.

- Represented financial marketplace client in connection with $200M minority investment by multinational holding company, including New York–based venture capital firm.
- Represented client in connection with agreement to purchase from electric utility holding company a 115-MW, wood waste biomass-fueled power plant providing 100 MW of renewable power to publicly owned utility via 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA).
- Advised U.S.-based business in its acquisition of a majority stake in an European-based manufacturer of Motor Controllers.
- Represented national and international clients in major internal restructuring transactions, including initiatives to unwind subsidiaries or otherwise rationalize complex corporate structures.
- Advised Canada-based company in acquisition of U.S.-based electric utility.
- Advised company through series of U.S. acquisitions in the gas, water and wastewater utility industries.
- Provided counsel and legal guidance to a variety of tech startup companies.
- Counseled North American transportation company regarding corporate governance and management matters.
- Represented 50-year-old family business in sale of all of its stock to employee stockownership plan (ESOP).
- Assisted with a CFIUS filing in connection with the acquisition of a U.S.-based company by a Japanese company that entailed responding to numerous rounds of questions from the CFIUS staff.
