Biography

Eli Humphries concentrates his practice on financing renewable and infrastructure projects. He has experience working with both debt and tax equity partners to bring projects to life. He also has experience utilizing TIFIA funds to develop P3 projects.

  • SunZia: Represented lender group in relation to US$11 billion financing consisting of an integrated construction loan and letter of credit facility, two separate term facilities, an operating phase letter of credit facility, an innovative tax equity term loan facility and a holding company loan facility, for the construction and operation of the largest clean energy infrastructure project in U.S. History located in New Mexico.
  • Port Arthur LNG. Represented the lender group in connection with the approximately US$7 billion debt financing of the Port Arthur LNG Phase 1 project. The Port Arthur LNG Phase 1 project includes two natural gas liquefaction trains, two LNG storage tanks and associated facilities with a nameplate capacity of approximately 13 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa).
  • Corpus Christi LNG. Represented the lender group in connection with the approximately US$5.5 billion debt financing of the Corpus Christi LNG Liquefaction Project for Phase III. Phase III will add seven midscale trains, one LNG storage tank, and other additional facilities.
  • Represented lender in relation to a $150MM financing (construction/term loan, tax equity bridge loan, and LC facility) for the construction and operation of a portfolio of solar projects in Virginia.
  • Represented lender in relation to a $125MM revolving loan to finance the construction of a portfolio of solar projects in Illinois.
  • Represented developer in relation to a $75MM financing (construction/tax equity bridge loan) for the construction of a solar project in Texas.
  • Represented developer in a bridge loan and US$670 million financing for a P3 project.
  • Represented developer in acquiring multiple solar projects.
  • Represented developers in financing portfolios of renewable projects.
