While other competition authorities around the world (such as the Competition and Markets Authority in the UK) are still contemplating the introduction of new powers to deal with price gouging during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Competition Commission (the Commission) has been relentless in investigating businesses under the COVID-19 price regulations that were adopted on March 19, 2020.
