Norton Rose Fulbright assists LyondellBasell on agreement with Italian union

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised an Italian division of LyondellBasell, Basell Polyolefins Italia, on reaching an agreement with an Italian union regarding redundancy issues and production bonuses relevant to over 850 employees of the company based in the Italian city of Ferrara. LyondellBasell, a member of the S&P500, is one of the largest plastics, chemicals and refining companies in the world. Its products and technologies are used to make packaging, electronics, automotive parts, home furnishings, construction materials and biofuels.

LyondellBasell has been active in Italy for many years; it has premises in Ferrara, Brindisi, Milano and Sesto San Giovanni. In addition to manufacturing, the Ferrara site is also home to the world famous research centre “Giulio Natta”.
