Norton Rose Fulbright advises on £3.8 billion recommended offer for Spectris

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright is advising Morgan Stanley & Co. International plc (Morgan Stanley) as financial adviser to MI Metron UK Bidco Ltd, an indirect subsidiary of funds managed and/or advised by Advent International, L.P. (Advent) on its £3.8 billion recommended cash offer for Spectris plc (Spectris).

Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board and GIC Pte. Ltd. and its affiliates are also investing in the transaction alongside Advent.

Spectris combines leading technical expertise and deep domain knowledge to provide its customers with critical insights through high quality precision measurement solutions. Spectris is headquartered in London and focuses on two strong divisions, employing c.7,400 people located in more than 30 countries.

The London-based Norton Rose Fulbright team is being led by corporate partners Paul Whitelock and Kit McCarthy, alongside banking partner James Dunnett, with support from corporate associates Adam Worth, Jess Ong-Davys and Seamus Connelly, corporate trainee Tasnia Begum, and banking consultant Ksenia Orlova.
