Liesl is a commercial lawyer and Head of the Public Interest Law team.
In this position she is responsible for managing and organising the practice's pro bono programme.
Liesl completed her articles at the practice as well as two years of post-articles service before leaving to take up a position at Cell C where she spent four and a half years gaining valuable telecoms experience.
Charity law and women’s issues are Liesl’s primary focus areas in her practice.
Liesl obtained her BCom and LLB degrees from Rhodes University in 1996 and 1998 respectively.
Liesl is a member of the Law Society of the Northern Provinces and a member of the TrustLaw Pro Bono Council, a worldwide pro bono project of the Thomson Reuters Foundation.
