Isobel Taylor is an intellectual property lawyer based in Sydney.

Her practice spans across a range of areas of intellectual property including litigation; trade mark protection, enforcement and commercialisation; corporate transactions involving the transfer of intellectual property assets; and drafting commercial arrangements.

Isobel is responsible for managing the large-scale trade mark portfolios of and providing brand management advice and support for numerous clients, particularly in the fast-moving consumer goods space, including Goodman Fielder, Brookfield, Quay Eyewear, Loan Market Group, Insignia Financial, Australasian Food Group (Peter's Ice Cream), Hairhouse Warehouse, Milkadamia, Jindilli and Creata.

Isobel has been involved in large-scale litigation matters in the Federal Court of Australia relating to trade marks and patent infringement, copyright and confidential information, for clients including Sarb Management, Goodman Fielder, and Wyeth/Pfizer.

She regularly publishes articles and legal updates on current topics in intellectual property law and practice in Australia and on the impact of legal and regulatory developments on clients' businesses. As a testament to her legal expertise and commercial acumen, Isobel was selected as a finalist for the 2019 '30 under 30' awards in the Intellectual Property category.

Isobel's pro bono experience includes conducting clinics on behalf of the Refugee Advice and Casework Service (RACS), and assisting pro bono clients including ACON, Suicide Prevention Australia, Equality Australia, Minerva Network and Special Olympics with trade mark prosecution and enforcement, and other IP advisory work.
