Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright announced today that experienced restructuring and insolvency partner Natasha Toholka will join the Melbourne office.

Ms Toholka has nearly 20 years’ experience working closely with financiers and insolvency practitioners. She advises clients on all aspects of banking and finance litigation, security enforcement, insolvency (reconstructions, workouts and formal appointments), general commercial disputes, disciplinary proceedings, and regulatory investigations.

She was most recently a partner at Hall & Wilcox and begins on February 26.

Norton Rose Fulbright managing partner in Australia Wayne Spanner commented:

“A major attraction for our December 1 combination with leading Australian firm Henry Davis York was its significant and well respected banking and finance, and restructuring and insolvency teams. The addition of a partner of Natasha’s calibre will further our investment in these areas, as well as our overall offering to domestic and international financial institutions.

“Natasha brings to our large national teams an impressive track record spanning all aspects of disputes and regulatory matters and deep industry connections with financiers and insolvency practitioners.”

Ms Toholka commented:

“Each year, financial regulators around the world are aligning in their approach to major investigations and dispute resolution. Joining Norton Rose Fulbright and one of the strongest restructuring and insolvency teams in Australia, with the backing of a large global team of disputes, regulatory and investigation experts, will greatly benefit my clients.”

Other recent lateral partners to join the firm include Penelope Ford, Gavin Scott, Ann Donohue, Natalie Lonergan, Jasmine Sprange, Martin Irwin, Adam Edelman, Vincent Dwyer (from our Singapore office) and Shamim Razavi (from our Indonesian associate firm, TNB & Partners).

On December 1, the firm also promoted Vittorio Casamento, Alice Chen, Belinda Harvey, James Higby, Stephen Iu, Anneliese Korber, Chris Mitchell and Daniel Vicano to the partnership.
