Crain’s New York Business names three New York partners 2024 Notable Leaders in Sustainability

United States Press release - Recognition April 2024

Three Norton Rose Fulbright partners have been honored as 2024 Notable Leaders in Sustainability by Crain’s New York Business. Christine Brozynski, Benjamin Koenigsberg and Christy Rivera (New York) were recognized in this special editorial report that honors the top leaders in New York who have had a measurable environmental impact within their industries.

Brozynski was recognized for her practice which focuses on the financing and development of energy projects, including leading the financing for one of the largest solar projects in the United States, the 600 MWac Hornet Solar project in Swisher County, Texas, developed by Vesper Energy. This deal was one of the first to utilize a tax credit sale structure, paving the way for future deals of this kind.

As Co-Head of the Norton Rose Fulbright’s US Projects team, Koenigsberg has led some of the sustainability legal market’s leading transactional work including multiple utility scale solar and wind projects and a multibillion dollar transmission project which will help New York meet its climate goals.

Rivera was honored for her work on the US$11bn financing of the largest clean energy infrastructure project in US history, consisting of the 3,515 MW SunZia Wind project and a related 550-mile HVDC transmission line between New Mexico and Arizona. She also represents developers and lenders in the financing and development of solar, storage and RNG projects.

To qualify for this award, nominees must serve in a senior leadership role in the New York metro area and have made significant contributions to sustainability in the community. Selections were made through a nomination and editorial review process.

Profiles of the honorees were included online at CrainsNewYork.com and in the print issue of the publication on April 15.
