United States Press release - People February 2024

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright is pleased to announce that Robin Adelstein, who serves as the Global Head of Antitrust and Competition, US Co-Head of Commercial Litigation and an ex-officio member of the Management Committee, has been appointed to the board of directors for the Alliance for International Medical Action (ALIMA), a medical humanitarian non-governmental organization (NGO) committed to providing quality healthcare during emergencies and crises.

Since 2009, ALIMA has treated more than 11 million people across 14 countries. Last year alone, ALIMA staff treated and cared for more than 175,000 children with acute malnutrition. Adelstein is the first legal professional to join ALIMA USA’s board of directors, which includes 11 other members from diverse fields like medicine, entertainment and finance. She brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in legal strategy and corporate governance.

Adelstein litigates complex commercial disputes, class actions and multi-jurisdictional cases before US federal and state courts and represents clients in government enforcement actions by the US Federal Trade Commission and US Department of Justice. She also counsels clients on antitrust issues arising in mergers and acquisitions, distribution and pricing practices and other aspects of competitor and customer communications and associations.

Adelstein, who has practiced at Norton Rose Fulbright for nearly a decade, said:

“Joining ALIMA’s board is the perfect way to build on the work I did within the pharmaceutical industry to help improve lives. ALIMA is an incredible organization doing really important work, and I’m very proud to contribute to its mission.”
