Chicago team acts as real estate counsel for Invenergy in solar generation facility transaction

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright acted as real estate counsel for Invenergy LLC on its US$260m transaction for the construction of a 150 MWac solar generation facility in White County, Illinois.

Invenergy develops, builds, owns and operates power generation and energy storage projects in the Americas, Europe and Asia, including wind, solar and natural gas power generation and energy storage facilities.

Financing for the deal was provided by Natixis (New York branch), HSBC Bank USA, NA and National Bank of Canada. The transaction closed on September 1. The facility should be operational by next summer.

Norton Rose Fulbright's deal team was led by John Young and Theresa Carroll and also included Mitch King and Sidney Owens (Chicago).
