Carlos Campuzano and Itzell Mendez promoted to counsel

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright today announced that Mexico City lawyers Carlos Campuzano and Itzell Mendez have been promoted to counsel.

Campuzano focuses on power, natural gas and energy regulation, including corporate transactions, due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, public tenders and joint venture deals. He assists clients in drafting and negotiating power purchase agreements, natural gas supply agreements and other long-term contracts required for power and natural gas projects.

Mendez advises clients on the structuring of energy and other infrastructure projects during the funding, development (planning, construction and operation) and M&A stages. She provides legal advice on regulatory, commercial and operational matters for infrastructure and energy projects (mainly midstream and downstream) as well as for companies participating in Mexican and US government bid processes for infrastructure projects.

Both Campuzano and Mendez are licensed to practice in Mexico. Campuzano received his law degree from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Mendez received her master of law from University College London and her law degree and bachelor’s degree from Universidad Panamericana.
