Partners recognized at the Benchmark Litigation Canada Awards

Toronto senior partner Linda Fuerst and Montréal partner Sophie Melchers were award winners at the Benchmark Litigation Canada Awards gala in Toronto on May 10, 2023.
The annual Benchmark Litigation Awards recognize Canada’s most distinguished litigators and firms for their exemplary work in litigation. Headliners at last night’s event, Linda and Sophie were shortlisted in the following categories:
Linda Fuerst
- Ontario Litigator of the Year
- Securities Litigator of the Year
- White-collar crime/Enforcement Litigator of the Year
Sophie Melchers
- Québec Litigator of the Year
- Trial Lawyer of the Year
By the evening’s conclusion, Sophie won the prestigious nationwide Trial Lawyer of the Year award, and Linda won Securities Litigator of the Year. Additionally, both are listed as Top 50 Trial Lawyers in Canada, and Linda was inducted into the Benchmark Hall of Fame, joining Sophie who was made a Hall of Famer last year.
