Benjamin A. Montanez



Ben Montanez is a senior associate in Norton Rose Fulbright's San Antonio office. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, venture capital, private equity transactions, and general corporate and contract law. Ben also assists clients with annual public company reporting, Section 16 issues, and corporate governance matters. In addition, he is experienced in private equity fund formation, conducting internal investigations, and advising directors on corporate governance and fiduciary duty issues.  Ben was seconded to a Texas-based Fortune 500 diversified financial services group of companies to provide legal advice on mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance.  

Before joining Norton Rose Fulbright, Ben was a United States Foreign Service officer at the U.S. Department of State, with postings in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Jerusalem, Israel, the US Mission to the United Nations, and Washington, DC. He was a Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholar at the University of St Andrews, Scotland before joining the Foreign Service. Ben is active in various nonprofit and charitable organizations.
