San Antonio lawyer appointed to OneStar Foundation by Texas governor

Benjamin A. Montanez (San Antonio) has been reappointed by Texas Governor Greg Abbott to the board of the OneStar Foundation, an organization dedicated to improving the state's volunteerism and community service infrastructure by providing technical assistance, education and information. He will serve a three-year term.

In his law practice, Montanez focuses on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, private equity transactions and general corporate and contract law. He also assists clients with annual public company reporting and corporate governance matters.

Earlier in his career, Montanez served as a Foreign Service Officer with the US Department of State in Saudi Arabia, Israel, the United Nations and Washington, DC. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Bar Foundation and the Texas Advisory Committee of the US Global Leadership Coalition. In addition to his service on the OneStar Foundation Board, he is a board member of the World Affairs Council of San Antonio and the Children's Hospital of San Antonio Foundation.
