Norton Rose Fulbright represents lenders in US$1.3 billion construction financing for solar photovoltaic projects

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright represented lenders KeyBanc Capital Markets, HSBC Bank USA and Banco Santander in relation to the US$1.3 billion construction debt financing for three utility scale solar photovoltaic projects as part of the Mammoth Solar facility in Pulaski County, Indiana.

Collectively, the Mammoth South, Mammoth Central and Mammoth Central II projects represent the second and third phases of Doral Renewable LLC's Mammoth Solar project, a 1.3 GW solar photovoltaic system that will be the largest solar project in the United States upon completion.

Mammoth South, Mammoth Central and Mammoth Central II each have a generation capacity of 300 MW, representing 900 MW in total nameplate capacity. The projects will utilize 20,000 tons of Indiana steel and over 1 million US-made solar modules, capable of powering approximately 275,000 households annually. The three projects are projected to begin operations in late 2026.

The deal closed on May 14, 2025.
