Biography
Jonathan Deschamps' practice focuses on employment and labour law in matters related to hiring, employment termination, labour standards, occupational health and safety, human rights and freedoms as well as applying individual employment contracts and collective agreements.
Mr. Deschamps regularly appears before the Canada Industrial Relations Board in disputes under the Canada Labour Code. He is particularly interested in labour relations and the adoption of best practices by employers, as well as various issues related to human resources management and labour law evolution.
During his law studies at McGill University, he was a research assistant to the Dean of the faculty, now a judge of the Quebec Superior Court. In 2018, he was also part of the winning team of the prestigious Pierre-Basile-Mignault Moot Court Competition.
