Biography
Brayden Anstee's practice covers all aspects of business law, with a particular focus on securities matters, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions. Brayden regularly acts for public corporations on a wide variety of transactions, as well as on timely and continuous disclosure matters.
Brayden joined us as a summer student in 2020 and returned to complete his articles in 2021-2022. During his articles, Brayden completed a secondment in the legal department of the Royal Bank of Canada, where he gained valuable experience working on a variety of corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.
While attending law school, Brayden volunteered with the Community & Legal Aid Services Program as well as with Pro Bono Students Canada. He received the Harley D. Hallett Renewable Entrance Scholarship, the Ivan Cleveland Rand Prize, the J.S.D. Tory Research and Writing Award, and the Ron Ellis '09 (PhD) Prize in Administrative Law. Brayden graduated in the top 3% of his law school class, and received the Alumni Gold Medal for highest class standing during his undergraduate studies.
