TNFD further develops nature disclosure framework

The aim of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) is to develop and deliver a risk management and disclosure framework for organisations to report and act on evolving nature-related risks. In its most recent newsletter, the TNFD confirms the launch of two new working groups following the release of the beta framework in June, which is based on the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD) rules pension schemes must comply with.
The TNFD has acknowledged “trustee agendas are very full”, but said there remained no immediate suggestion that the nature-based disclosures will become mandatory in the way TCFD rules are.

Pensions Ombudsman rejects claim for scam compensation when trustees had no duty of due diligence
In a recent determination, the Ombudsman rejected a scheme member’s claim that the trustees should have conducted due diligence on the receiving scheme before making a transfer in in 2014, as there was no duty of care on the trustees at the time of transfer.
