In light of the ever-changing pensions landscape, the Pensions Administration Standards Association’s (PASA) DC Working Group has updated its Guidance on DC Governance.
The updated guidance provides practical tips for trustees, employers and administration providers on ensuring ‘compliant’ or ‘good’ processes in six key areas, including a newly added section on the Chair’s Statement.
In particular, the guidance notes that scheme data will need to be dashboard ready and provides a set of questions that it is recommend that trustees and employers ask their administrators to ensure that up-to-date and correct data is held.
The newly added Chair’s Statement section includes an overview of the requirements and the resources which trustees may like to consult to ensure the statement is completed correctly.

On 8 May 2025, the Court of Justice of the European Union (the CJEU) delivered its ruling in case C-581/23 (the Ruling), providing guidance on one of the conditions for an exclusive distribution agreement to benefit from the block exemption under Article 4(b)(i) of the 2010 Vertical Block Exemption Regulation (the VBER)1, notably the so-called ‘parallel imposition requirement’.
