Global Press release - People January 2023

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright announced today the reappointment of Peter Scott as managing partner for Europe, Middle East and Asia (EMEA) for a second three-year term, effective April 1, 2023.

Having trained with Norton Rose Fulbright and spending the first six years of his career as a commercial litigator, he joined the antitrust and competition team in 2005 and was made a partner in the team two years later. Prior to taking on the role of managing partner, he led the firm’s EMEA litigation and disputes team as well as its global antitrust and competition team.

Peter commented: “I’m excited to continue as managing partner for a second three-year term and thank my colleagues for their support. We have made great progress over the last three years, notwithstanding wider challenges, and have a well-diversified international business with huge potential. I look forward to working with our leadership team to continue to build the firm for the future.”

Norton Rose Fulbright’s Global CEO Gerry Pecht commented: “I’d like to congratulate Peter on his reappointment and all he has achieved for our firm in EMEA. He is an outstanding leader with a strong commitment to our people and our clients.”

Peter was named in The Lawyer’s Hot 100 list in 2022. In the 2022 FT Innovative Lawyers Europe report, he was listed as one of Europe’s top seven most innovative law firm leaders.

Peter was also a member of the City of London’s Socio-Economic Diversity Taskforce, a group of 30 cross-sector leaders from the financial and professional services industry, which issued a final report in November 2022 setting out a plan to boost socio-economic diversity at senior levels across the UK.
