Norton Rose Fulbright recognised by India Business Law Journal for its work on leading India-related transactions

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has been recognised for its involvement in two market-leading transactions by India Business Law Journal (IBLJ).

Every year, IBLJ publishes an annual edition which provides an overview of the most significant India-related deals.

GuarantCo Green Bonds for Sindicatum Renewables
Norton Rose Fulbright has advised GuarantCo, the international development finance institution, in relation to a landmark INR 2.5 billion (approximately US$40 million) dual tranche unsecured wrapped and rated bond issuance by Sindicatum Renewable Energy Company Pte Ltd. Sindicatum is an Asian developer, owner and operator of clean energy projects. Lead partner: Daniel Metcalfe

Cross-border non-recourse financing to Kia Motors India
Norton Rose Fulbright advised a syndicate of banks on a cross-border non-recourse financing to Kia Motors India Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kia Motors Corporation. The loan is a dual-tranche facility for up to US$548 million and the Euro equivalent of US$100 million for the purpose of financing the construction of Kia Motor’s US$1.1 billion automobile manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh, India. The loan is guaranteed by Kia Motors Corporation and supported by Korea Trade Insurance Corporation. Lead partner: Nick Merritt
