United Kingdom Press release - People January 2023

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright’s corporate and early careers recruitment partner Clementine Hogarth has been featured in The Lawyer Hot 100 2023.

The Hot 100 is an annual listing of legal professionals in the UK, who are making a significant impact through their work.

Clementine is recognised for her focus on increasing access to careers in law. In 2021, Clementine spearheaded the launch of Norton Rose Fulbright’s UK apprenticeship programme, alongside Europe, Middle East and Asia managing partner Peter Scott and senior consultant Noleen John

Recently, she also drove the launch of the firm’s UK apprenticeship pledge, which has been signed by 25 other law firms across the UK to date. The pledge aims to ensure that all routes to legal qualification are treated equally.

The Hot 100 also recognised Clementine’s corporate practice, which focuses on investment and corporate advisory work for public and private companies, investors and investment banks, with a particular emphasis on consumer-focused and other responsible businesses. Last year, Clementine co-led the team advising Swedish listed Modern Times Group AB on the sale of ESL Gaming, at an enterprise value of $1.05bn.

Clementine Hogarth commented:

“It is a privilege to be featured alongside so many inspiring individuals. I’m incredibly proud of the work we are doing at Norton Rose Fulbright to address social mobility and to improve access to careers in law. I am also fortunate to work with such talented colleagues in our corporate practice and am grateful to act for so many fantastic clients, advising on some really interesting and high profile transactions.”

Clementine was a member of the City of London’s first taskforce on socio-economic mobility, alongside Peter Scott. The taskforce focused on progression and socio-economic diversity at senior levels. Additionally, Clementine co-founded and continues to co-chair Advance, the firm’s employee network to raise awareness of social mobility issues.
