Biography

Helen Finnis is a real estate lawyer based in London. She also spent time as part of her training working in our project finance team in Milan.  

Helen has extensive experience in the sale and purchase of commercial premises, drafting and negotiating commercial leases on behalf of landlords and tenants and a variety of property management work. She also works on property finance transactions and the property aspects of corporate transactions, particularly in the renewable energy sector, advising on the real estate aspects of the acquisition, development and financing of renewable energy projects as part of our team that is top tier ranked for Energy & Natural Resources (Power) by Chambers & Partners and Legal 500. Helen is also recognised by Legal 500 UK as a ‘key lawyer’ for Commercial Property.

TotalEnergies on the acquisition of one of the UK’s largest EV charging networks.

Commerz Real on its UK portfolio including its joint venture development of the Westfield London Shopping Centre, the largest shopping centre in Europe.

Ashby Capital on a number of projects including the development and letting of a 100,000 square foot office building in Slough (as part of the Heart of Slough regeneration). 

a North American investor in relation to the acquisition and subsequent refinancing and sale of a portfolio of over 250MW of ground-mounted PV projects in England and Wales.

an Asian investor on the acquisition, letting, management and subsequent disposal of 7 and 8 St James's Square, London. Number 8 is a multi-award winning building with private terraces and views on the square, providing 62,200 square foot of modern office space, including the highest office rent per square foot in London. Number 7 is a 30,000 square foot Edwin Lutyens-designed mansion that fronts on to St James's Square.

Barnard’s Inn Trust, a Europa and Hobart Partners joint venture, on the acquisition, refurbishment and letting of Barnard's Inn in London's Midtown.

Resolution Property on the purchase and subsequent letting of the iconic Royal Exchange, a Grade I listed building next to the Bank of England, comprising 68,023 sq.ft, of office space.

Greencoat UK Wind PLC on the acquisition of eight wind farms comprising 200MW of onshore and offshore assets (including North Hoyle).

Octopus Investments Limited on the sale of a portfolio of 26 solar projects to an institutional investor.
