Biography
Lior Delfassy is a dispute resolution and business ethics lawyer based in Paris.
Lior advises French and international companies operating in a broad range of sectors, including banks, on international sanctions, export control, anti-money laundering and anticorruption issues.
He specializes in international sanctions with a deep knowledge of the banking sector, including asset freeze and transactions monitoring. Lior also provides training on compliance topics to compliance officers and legal counsels.
Lior holds a double degree in Law and Economics from Panthéon-Sorbonne University and graduated from ESSEC Business School with a Master of Science degree (Grande Ecole). He is a French-qualified lawyer at the Paris bar.
Before joining the firm, Lior worked for BNP Paribas for 9 years in compliance and internal audit in New York, Hong Kong and Paris. He served as an expert on OFAC sanctions and European sanctions, providing advisory on sensitive topics and clients across business lines (corporate banking, securities…).
