Biography
Zainab Hamid is a corporate lawyer based in London.
Zainab obtained a Bachelor of Arts at Yale College in 2019, following which she completed the Graduate Diploma in Law at City Law School. Since joining NRF as a trainee solicitor, Zainab worked with the firm’s corporate, disputes and competition teams, and completed a six-month secondment in the corporate team at American International Group (UK).
Zainab focusses on transactions in the energy and natural resources sectors.

- Advising bp on a multi-billion dollar agreement for an energy redevelopment in the Middle East.
- Advising a state-owned energy company on its entry into an agreement with a foreign government for the exploration, production and development of oil and gas fields.
- Advising bp on its entry into a strategic joint venture with ADNOC in order to develop a highly competitive gas portfolio in Egypt and the wider Mediterranean region.
- Advising Equinor on its joint venture with bp in respect of the construction and operation of an integrated gas-fired power and carbon capture project at Teeside, England.
- Advising The AES Corporation on the sale to Nebras Power of a part of its interests in mixed cycle power plants of 600+ MW in Amman, Jordan.
