Norton Rose Fulbright advises BayWa r.e. Energy Ventures on financing round for Estonian Roofit.solar

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright, in cooperation with TRINITI Estonia, advised BayWa r.e. Energy Ventures on a €6.4 million Series A financing round for Estonian company Roofit.solar OÜ. The financing round was led by BayWa r.e. Energy Ventures together with EdgeCap Partners and backed by Spring Capital and Helmes Investments OÜ. 

Roofit.solar is a climate tech startup developing a unique integrated 2-in-1 metal solar roof and façade material for residential and commercial customers that generates electricity as efficiently as conventional modules. 

BayWa r.e. Energy Ventures is the venture capital unit of BayWa r.e. AG and focuses on innovative start-ups from across the energy sector in Europe and Israel.

Norton Rose Fulbright's Munich team, which specialises in M&A, private equity and venture capital transactions in the energy sector, led by partner Sebastian Frech (Corporate/M&A/Venture Capital), included senior associate Tiffany Zilliox (IP/IT), associates Sebastian Eisenhut and Max Oscar Zeisler, and transaction specialist Tobias Grans (all Corporate/M&A/Venture Capital). 

The TRINITI Estonia team in Tallinn was led by Ergo Blumfeldt (M&A / Private Equity) and included Peeter P. Mõtsküla (IP/IT).
