Norton Rose Fulbright advises Leonardo Hotels on lease agreement for one of the Ten Towers in Munich

Germany Press release - Business October 2025

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Leonardo Hotels on signing a long-term lease agreement for one of the iconic “Ten Towers” in Munich. The agreement with Wealthcap marks a significant step in the transformation of the landmark ensemble in Munich’s eastern district.

Leonardo Hotels is part of the Fattal Hotel Group and operates over 300 hotels in 21 countries. The brand includes Leonardo Hotels, Leonardo Royal Hotels, Leonardo Boutique Hotels, NYX Hotels, and Leonardo Limited Edition.

Leonardo Hotels will operate 244 rooms under the lifestyle brand “NYX Hotels” across approximately 13,200 square meters. The innovative usage concept includes a publicly accessible restaurant 50 meters above ground, a bar in the glass bridge between the towers, and a rooftop terrace on the 15th floor. The opening is subject to final building approval – a positive preliminary building permit has already been granted.

Lead-Partner Dr. Maren Stölting (real estate, Munich):

"Our renewed collaboration with Leonardo Hotels was particularly exciting for us on this project. The Ten Towers exemplify the transformation of urban real estate – moving away from monofunctional office complexes toward vibrant, mixed-use districts. We are pleased to have contributed our legal expertise to the successful repositioning of this Munich landmark."

Tamar Cohen, Group Legal Counsel of Leonardo Hotels Group, commented:

"Munich plays a central role in Leonardo Hotels’ strategic growth in Germany. With more than 11 hotels already operating in the city, the addition of a NYX Hotel in the Ten Towers marks a significant expansion of our local portfolio. This project reflects our commitment to creating vibrant hospitality experiences in landmark urban locations. We are pleased to collaborate with key players in the real estate and investment sector to bring new energy to the Werksviertel district and contribute to the transformation of this iconic ensemble into a dynamic, mixed-use destination."

The Norton Rose Fulbright team led by Partner Dr. Maren Stölting also included Counsel Dr. Britta Jilge (real estate, Munich) and Senior Associate Sarah Heufelder (tax law, Munich).

The in-house team of Leonardo Hotels Group was led by Tamar Cohen (Group Legal Counsel) and also included Jana Schlimgen (Legal Counsel).
