Norton Rose Fulbright has been named as one of the top thirty family-friendly employers in the UK by Working Families, as the work-life balance charity highlighted the law firm for the second consecutive year.
Working Families benchmarks organisations across the UK that lead the way in building family-friendly and flexible workplaces. Public, private and third sector businesses compete annually to gain a place on the list.
Employers were assessed using Working Families’ benchmark. Flexible and family-friendly policies and practices supporting mothers, fathers and carers were scored in four key areas:
- integration to organisational strategy and culture – examining culture, attitude and how far flexible and family-friendly working practices have become embedded;
- policy – reviewing the creation, development and deployment of flexible and family-friendly working policies;
- consistent practice – assessing how well flexible and family-friendly working is supported; and
- evidence and statistics – determining the effects of flexible and family-friendly policies on the organisation and its ability to understand those effects.
Farmida Bi, Chair of Europe, Middle East and Asia at Norton Rose Fulbright, commented:
"Being named as a top thirty family-friendly employer again by Working Families highlights our firm’s commitment to providing modern working environments and practices that are conducive to working parents and carers. Our focus on agile and flexible working patterns for everyone creates a foundation that supports parents and carers working at Norton Rose Fulbright, and we continue to aim to foster a supportive environment for all our people."
