German team advises European Science Park Group on extension and refinancing of several loans

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised European Science Park Group AG (ESPG) on the three-year extension of a EUR 26.2 million secured loan and the refinancing and restructuring of a further property by a local bank. In this process, German institutional investors were acquired as lenders for ESPG.

ESPG AG is a real estate company specialising in science parks with a growing portfolio of 16 properties with a total area of more than 126,000 square metres and total assets of EUR 250 million throughout Europe. The company focuses on the development of science parks with tenants from future-oriented industries such as life sciences, green technologies and digital transformation, which benefit from their proximity to each other and their direct neighbourhood to universities, hospitals and research locations.

Norton Rose Fulbright advised ESPG under the lead of Frankfurt partner Dr. Stefan Schramm. The team also consisted of Counsel Dr. Michael Born, Counsel Carolin Glänzel and Associate Laura-Sophie Stillger (all Banking/Finance, Frankfurt).
