Norton Rose Fulbright advises GARBE Industrial on the leasing of a logistics property in Lüneburg to Garpa
Global | Press release - Business | August 2025
Norton Rose Fulbright has advised GARBE Industrial on the leasing of its logistics property in Lüneburg, as it did previously on the purchase of this property.
The approximately 20,200 square meter property will be used by the tenant Garpa for storage, assembly, and repair of exclusive garden furniture starting October 1, 2025.
The property is being built on a approximately 33,000 square meter site in the Gewerbepark Ost industrial park in the immediate vicinity of the port of Lüneburg. The lease covers approximately 17,400 square meters of hall space, 2,200 square meters of storage mezzanine, and 600 square meters of office space. The facilities include a narrow-aisle racking system, 17 loading bridges, two ground-level gates, and parking spaces for 55 cars and five trucks.
The convenient location with connections to the B 216, B 209, and A 39 highways allows quick access to the Maschener Kreuz interchange and the A 1 and A 7 highways.
The property also impresses in terms of sustainability. A 1.7-megawatt peak photovoltaic system and air heat pumps ensure a fossil-free energy supply. Garbe Industrial is aiming for DGNB Gold certification.
Team lead Patrick Narr (Corporate/Real estate, Hamburg) comments: "This project shows how important it is to focus on quality, location, and ESG criteria at an early stage. Sustainability is a key criterion—both in the choice of location and in the collaboration.
The Norton Rose Fulbright team was led by partner Patrick Narr, who was supported by senior associate Malte Meyer (Corporate/Real estate, Hamburg). Counsel Dr. Tobias Block (Real estate, Hamburg), counsel Dr. Karsten Alex (Corporate/Real estate, Hamburg) and associate Sebastian Sievers (Corporate/Real estate, Hamburg) were also involved in the transaction.
