Norton Rose Fulbright strengthens its real estate and regulatory practices with several hires

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright further strengthens its German real estate practice with the hire of Dr. Hendrik Theismann. He joins the Frankfurt office as partner on August 1. Dr. Hendrik Theismann is joined by of counsel Michael Mehler. The firm also expands its regulatory team as of counsel Dr. Jan-Willem Jensen, primarily based in the Hamburg office, effective July 1. Before joining Norton Rose Fulbright he worked as “Head of Regulations & Taxes“ at PATRIZIA Immobilien AG.

Dr. Hendrik Theismann specialises in real estate transactions as part of share and asset deals and commercial tenancies. He has extensive expertise in portfolio transactions and real estate financing as well as contractual structuring relating to real estate. In addition, Hendrik is experienced in M&A and business transactions on the real estate market.

Michael Mehler advises on portfolio transactions and real estate financings as well as contracts relating to real estate. He specialises in the acquisition and sale of real estate as part of share and asset deals and commercial tenancies.

Dr. Jan-Willem Jensen joins the regulatory team in Hamburg and Frankfurt. At PATRIZIA, he advised the German and Luxembourgian AIFM platforms belonging to the Group as well as its funds and participating companies on legal and tax-related matters since 2012. He has accompanied a variety of international acquisitions and sales of different degrees of complexity. Prior to that, he was senior structuring lawyer in the real estate segment of Union Investment for three years. He mainly advises capital management companies, asset managers and investors on issues concerning licensing and organizational structuring, the selection and structuring of fund vehicles and accompanies international real estate transactions including the financing of these.
