My name is Katrin Stieß. I am a Corporate/M&A Partner in the Munich office of Norton Rose Fulbright which is a truly global law firm. We are present in more than 30 countries. We have not only the expertise of advising founders and investors on their specific needs but we also understand their markets. I am advising Corporate/M&A transactions with a specific focus on the technology and innovation area. I try to help my clients to pick the right partner.
We are hosting Capital on Stage because we think the concept is fantastic and a little bit different from a lot of other events. What I like most is that it’s focused, that attendees, especially the founders, have to apply for this event.
We had, especially today for this event, a very good opportunity to present ourselves. People really appreciated that they could simply talk to three lawyers and ask any questions they had. I thought for the first time that the investors had to pitch so they were flipping tables and I think that it was a good experience especially for the founders.
I think the main reason for founders to attend this event today is to meet the investors on the one hand but also to talk to their peers, to talk to other founders and to see whether they have to cope with the same challenges, and how.
For Norton Rose Fulbright it’s important to partner with Capital On Stage because we can show that we are really interested in what founders and investors are facing and where they require legal advice. We can present ourselves to them, they can talk to us and decide whether they liked it and want to come back.
